Hayden Williams is released from the hospital and wants to put all of the things he saw that night to the back of his mind. When The Council decides to meet with him, his hope is that he can get it done and over with so he can finally move on with his life. That doesn’t happen when he realizes his family has a big secret; one that he is very much a part of. Other forces against the Monster Hunters have different plans. Heather, Hayden, and their friends start unraveling the truth about the world they live in, and dangers are lurking in the shadows. A danger that could lead them all to their demise. Review:

This is the second book in the series.  I have not read the first book and was able to follow along fine.  With one minor exception, which is either a cliff-hanger or something explained in book 1, nothing was difficult to understand without reading book 1.

This story is about a group of people who fight monsters to keep the world safe.  Unfortunately for them they discover that what they thought they knew about the world isn’t all there is to the world.  This discovery leads to them finding about and getting involved in a pending war.

The story is also about friendship and finding out what is truly important in life.

I give this story 4 out of 5 clouds.
